Jack Vogt
President, AJV Associates 

Jack Vogt serves as president of AJV Associates, a multidisciplinary

consulting firm that strives to inspire people and teams to optimize

performance and achieve success.

 

He completed a distinguished career in the United States Coast Guard as a two star admiral with his service culminating as the organization’s senior executive in charge of all operations and personnel in the Pacific Northwest. During his career, Mr. Vogt led multinational and interagency organizations across all aspects of maritime and homeland security, aviation, government relations and crisis management to include operations, finances, policy development, program management, planning, and execution. He previously served as the senior director of Coast Guard operational response programs and policy where he developed strategy and tactics for international and national operations including search and rescue, law enforcement, defense, oil spill response, waterways security, and crisis management. Mr. Vogt also served as served as senior director of Coast Guard governmental and public affairs where he supervised strategic engagements and communications with Congress, international and interagency government representatives, business enterprises, and media.

 

Mr. Vogt earned a BS in Government from the Coast Guard Academy, a MS

in Business and Industrial Administration from Purdue University, and a MS

from the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.

He also completed the Homeland Security Executive Seminar and the

National Preparedness Leadership Initiative Executive Education programs

at Harvard University. Mr. Vogt has keynoted numerous international and

national conferences on topics including maritime security, crisis

management, homeland defense, aviation, counterterrorism, diversity, and

leadership.
 

Mr. Vogt currently serves as a Board Member of the National Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. He previously served on the Advisory Board of the U.S. Naval Institute, as Vice Chairman of the Alaska Combined Federal Campaign, as Finance Chair and Treasurer on the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Board, as Executive Liaison to the Navy League, and as Director of the Coast Guard Presidential Transition Team. Mr. Vogt held a TS/SCI clearance, military qualifications in rotary and fixed wing aircraft, and is certified as a FAA airline transport pilot. Jack enjoys helping organizations succeed, spending time with family, volunteering, playing sports and traveling.
